REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

AT WORKSHOP SLC

As a courtesy to our instructing artists, we have certain limitations on refunds that are based on how much advance notice we receive. Please review our policy below.

MISSED CLASSES

There are no makeup days, refunds, or credits issued for missed classes.

Workshop & Class Deposits

At this time we do not offer deposits. If you are interested in attending a workshop or class, we require full payment to reserve your spot. If the class is scheduled so far out in advance that you are unsure of your availability, we recommend you review our refund policy that allows for full refunds based on how much advance notice you provide, and purchase a ticket if you are comfortable doing so.

RECURRING CLASSES AND MEMBERSHIPS

Monthly classes and memberships are auto-renewing. Please let us know if you won’t be renewing your ongoing class or membership at least two weeks in advance. Refunds will not be given without receiving this notice.

Refunds on cLASSES AND WorkshopS Taught by non-staff or Non-Local Instructors

We offer complete refunds, less our 3% credit card merchant fees.

  • 30+ Days In Advance:
We offer complete refunds in the form of Workshop SLC ticket credit, which can be applied to most workshops and classes being administered by us.

  • Less Than 30 Days in Advance:
We do not allow for refunds or credits, but do allow you to transfer or sell your ticket to someone else. Contact us if you’d like to see if there is a wait list on your registered class or workshop.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR

In the event that a student engages in harassment towards fellow students or instructors, or contributes to a disruptive or harmful learning environment, Workshop SLC reserves the right to request the immediate departure of the student from the program or course. In such cases, no refund will be provided for any remaining or unused portion of the course fees.

Refunds Due to COVID-19

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, we kindly ask you to stay home. We will offer a full refund for your ticket IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT that can be redeemed on any future class or workshop. Please contact owner Lucia Murdock to discuss the details of our COVID-19 Refund Policy.

Class Cancellations

We reserve the right to close or move classes when necessary. If a minimum capacity isn’t met or any issues arise with the scheduled class, we will look to reschedule or cancel the class. All currently enrolled students will have the option to move to another class of a similar type or stay enrolled in the class when it starts at its new date. If neither option works, the student will be refunded their fee for the class.

While quite rare, due to extenuating circumstances like weather or classroom safety, we occasionally must cancel a workshop or class. Should we cancel, you will be notified with as much notice as possible and will be offered a complete refund or credit for a future class. Class cancellations are handled on a case by case basis.

If you have any questions regarding your purchase or our refund policies, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you navigate.
