WHAT TO EXPECT

Layered Visions is a process-based acrylic and mixed media class designed to help artists loosen up, build confidence, and develop a personal visual language through layering, movement, and intuitive response. This class emphasizes experimentation over perfection and welcomes all levels of experience — from first-time painters to seasoned artists looking to reconnect with play. It is a 3-week course session to complete your vision!

2026 Layered Visions Class

April 16th, 23rd, 30th

Students will work both on mini canvases (warm-ups) and large vertical canvases, allowing for freedom of movement and expressive mark-making.

Weekly Breakdown

Week 1 — Base Layer & Collage Foundations

Focus: Gesture, texture, and trust

Week 2 — Abstract Language & Intentional Color

Focus: Color as response, not decoration

Week 3 — Refinement, Editing & Trust

Focus: Cohesion, restraint, and personal expression
