Free Art club

Join us every other Saturday morning at Workshop SLC for Art Club! From 10 AM to 12 PM, we’ll sip coffee, enjoy some refreshments, and dive into lively conversations about art. Each month brings a fresh theme and each week a fun creative experience to broaden our horizons.

It’s a casual, welcoming space to connect with fellow art lovers, share ideas, and receive artistic mentorship from our skilled instructors. Don’t miss our occasional field trips to museums, plein air painting days, guest speakers, and other art adventures. People with all levels of artistic experience are very welcome!

September Art Club - Impressionism

09/13

This week, we're painting master copies of great impressionist works! One of the best ways to paint like artists we admire is to learn by copying their works. Be ready to dive into acrylics on a small canvas! No worries if you've never even painted before. Come with the aim to try something new and you'll leave having learned and contributed more than you'd think!

09/27

This week, we're painting “impressions” of ourselves using acrylic paint, a small canvas and a mirror. It's a fun, light-hearted exercise to portray ourselves best we can and explore impressionism through the experience of creating. Come with the aim to try something new and you'll leave having learned and contributed more than you'd think!

October Art Club - Art & the unconcious

10/11

This week we're creating a collaborative myth and illustrating it on a single, massive, combined canvas! Legends and myths of old come from a lineage of storytellers who collaborated to create the colorful folklore of our cultures today. We can participate in this craft together and I can't wait to see what we come up with! Come with the aim to try something new and you'll leave having learned and contributed more than you'd think!

10/25

This week we're designing our own monsters! We'll discuss creature design in art throughout the ages and how we can bring the imaginative monsters of our minds into reality. Come with the aim to try something new and you'll leave having learned and contributed more than you'd think!
