Art Club Schedule

Here’s what’s coming up next in Art Club!

July - Art and Liberation

Art and Liberation explores the many ways artists seek, define, and experience freedom through creativity. This month, we'll experiment, question assumptions, and give ourselves permission to make, play, and express more openly. Join us to consider as a community what it means to create with curiosity, courage, and freedom!

Art Activities

Saturday, July 11 | 10am

Join us for a special “Mentor Morning” and activity! Bring any works in progress to the group for feedback, guidance, or time to create. We’ll also write our own Declaration of Artistic Independence, a short manifesto proclaiming to yourself and the world the freedom to be whatever kind of artist you are!

Saturday, July 25 | 10am

What would a monument to liberty look like if you could design it today? Inspired by the Statue of Liberty and the many meanings of freedom, we’ll create our own monuments celebrating a value, right, or freedom important to us personally. Get ready to sculpt with clay to make your own unique figurine of liberation!

Art Talks

Friday, July 31 | 7 pm

Workshop welcomes painter and public artist Trevor Dahl for an engaging conversation about his creative practice. Known for his imaginative, symbolic work, Dahl takes inspiration from archetypal themes in mythology, history, psychology, pop culture, and the unconscious mind. Working across murals, illustration, and fine art, his work invites viewers into dream-like worlds that are both playful and deeply resonant.
