Art Club Schedule

Here’s what’s coming up next in Art Club!

Art Activities

Saturday, April 25 | 10am

We're fortunate to have amazing examples of sculpture at a monumental scale right here at Utah's State Capitol building. Join us for a special tour of the art work on the grounds and key works inside the Capitol! We will meet on the South steps at 10am.

Saturday, May 9 | 10am

Join us for a special presentation by Kaori Fairbourn on Japonisme and its history. Born in Japan and now working as an artist in Salt Lake City, Kaori specializes in watercolor and is passionate about sharing and teaching Japanese art and culture. In conjunction with the presentation, we’ll also have the chance to try our hand at print making!

Saturday, May 23 | 10am

Come paint or draw the spring blossoms with us at the International Peace Gardens! These gardens offer the perfect inspiration for “en plein air” set ups like Van Gogh would have painted. Drawing supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring any paints or materials you’d like to use. We’ll meet as a group at the entrance of the gardens at 10am, disperse to find our inspiration, and regroup to share our art work!

Art Talks

Monday, May 25 | 630pm

Our art lectures explore the stories and ideas that shape the creative world. They help broaden perspectives, link the past to the present, and encourage curiosity across different disciplines. Led by local artists, these discussions are lively, welcoming, and full of opportunities to learn something new.

Mentor Night

Monday, May 4 | 630pm

We are all on our own artistic journey, and sometimes it can be hard to know where to go next. Mentor Nights offer a dedicated evening for personalized guidance tailored to your goals, challenges, and creative aspirations. Whether you want technical feedback, career advice, or clarity on your next project, you will have the chance to receive one-on-one support and direction.

Additional Events
