Art Club Schedule

Here’s what’s coming up next in Art Club!

Art Activities

Saturday, May 23 | 10am

Come paint or draw the spring blossoms with us at the International Peace Gardens! These gardens offer the perfect inspiration for “en plein air” set ups like Van Gogh would have painted. Drawing supplies will be provided, but please feel free to bring any paints or materials you’d like to use. We’ll meet as a group at the entrance of the gardens at 10am, disperse to find our inspiration, and regroup to share our art work!

Saturday, June 6 | 10am

Ever tried drawing a live animal? Join us at Tracy Aviary for a chance to do just that surrounded by some of the most beautiful birds in Salt Lake! Bring any paints or materials you’d like to use as long as the set up isn’t too cumbersome. Basic drawing supplies will be provided.

We’ll meet at the entrance of Tracy Aviary in Liberty park at 10am, then explore to find the birds that inspire us most and recreate them from life! At the end we’ll reconvene and share what we’ve created! We will have a discounted group rate available to all art club members, of $7 a ticket.

Saturday, June 20 | 10am

For this activity we’re bringing it close to home with the pets we so cherish and adore! Join us to make a portrait of an animal you love in the medium and style of your choice. Painting and drawing materials will be provided. If you have a pet in mind, bring a reference photo. If not we’ll have images of animals for you to choose from!
