Art Club Schedule

Here’s what’s coming up next in Art Club!

Art Activities

Saturday, February 21 | 10am

Join us for an exploration of the Harlem Renaissance as we talk about artists like Aaron Douglas, Archibald Motley jr, and Augusta Savage. This week we’ll be particularly inspired by Aaron Douglas and his flat, silhouette-like figures against vibrant, geometric backgrounds. Come with a story impactful to you, either personal or not, to illustrate in Harlem Renaissance style!

Saturday, March 14 | 10am

Explore the world of calligraphy and letter design as you try your hand creating the visual identity of Art Club. Make a design and at the end of the session, the group will vote on the concept that will become the official Art Club logo!

Saturday, March 28 | 10am

Words can tell stories in more ways than one. This week we'll be exploring typography through word portraits. Transform a word into a visual expression that reflects its meaning through shape, color, style, and mood!

Art Talks

Monday, March 30 | 630pm

Our art lectures explore the stories and ideas that shape the creative world. They help broaden perspectives, link the past to the present, and encourage curiosity across different disciplines. Led by local artists, these discussions are lively, welcoming, and full of opportunities to learn something new.

Mentor Night

Monday, March 9 | 630pm

We are all on our own artistic journey, and sometimes it can be hard to know where to go next. Mentor Nights offer a dedicated evening for personalized guidance tailored to your goals, challenges, and creative aspirations. Whether you want technical feedback, career advice, or clarity on your next project, you will have the chance to receive one-on-one support and direction.
