Join us in open studio sessions to develop and expand your painting practice. Work on a personal body of work in the company of artists of all skill levels and backgrounds.

NOTE: Feel free to Drop in anytime, come prepared with an idea of something you are working on or even bring in a painting you have already started. We have students working on single session pieces and multi-week pieces.

Each week in Creative Exploration we will discuss one main topic either in a short lecture or demonstration form before we dive into our individual paintings. This class focused on individual expression and is for for all skill levels! Join us in a supportive classroom environment to expand on your skills and fuel your creativity.

About the Instructor

Kendyl Schofield is a visual artist based in Salt Lake City, Utah, working primarily in oil paint. She earned her BFA with an emphasis in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2020.

Her recent studio practice has focused on Utah landscapes, plein air studies and commissions of pets (primarily dogs). In a classroom setting Kendyl strives to support the artist inside everyone and foster creativity while being a resource for both technical and creative development.

Outside of the studio Kendyl enjoys spending time with DIY home renovation projects and getting away to camp/travel with her partner and dog as much as possible.
