Workshop Description
This workshop offers an introductory exploration of the alla prima approach to figure drawing in charcoal from life. All Prima simply means “at first attempt.” Students will draw a single sustained nude pose in charcoal, completing a finished study in one session. Instruction will focus on gesture, measuring relative proportion, contrasts, and charcoal application. We’ll go in with confident, expressive charcoal strokes while maintaining structural accuracy.
Students of any skill level are welcome!
