Introducing: Workshop SLC Art Talks, a series for artists of all types to join us for regular conversations, interviews, demonstrations, panels, and other free events to find inspiration in art.

Roger Burrows specializes in the development of spatial thinking in the arts and in architecture.Roger has lectured and run workshops in the USA and internationally: at the Bridges Math/Art conferences in Finland, Sweden, Canada, and Austria. At the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco; at the Architectural Association in London, England; at the Leonardo Science and Technology Museum in Salt Lake City; at the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts in London, England; at the Software and Technology Development Department, Center for Advanced Professional Studies, at the Park City High School, Utah.

Roger’s publications include: The “Images Design” series, Perseus/Hachette; The “Altair Design” series, Bloomsbury/Wooden Books; The “Crystal Cave” with Roger Penrose (quantum mathematician), Bloomsbury/Wooden Books; “3D Thinking in Design and Architecture from Antiquity to the Future,” Thames and Hudson; The “Valley Girl” with Frank Zappa, Price, Stern, Sloan. Also, papers including academia.edu and bridgesmathart.org. His latest book is “Proportion in the Arts and Architecture—A History of Spatial Thinking.”Roger’s work has been exhibited, for example, at the Leonardo Museum of Science and Technology, Salt Lake City; by the Arts Council of Great Britain; at the Architectural Association in London, England.
