I have had so many requests to do a winter / snow workshop here in Salt Lake City, so that’s exactly what we are going to do!

Day 1
We will be in the studio doing demos, drawing, and discussing fundamentals of Plein Air painting, which includes, composition, drafting, values, values, oh and did say values and of course color. We will also discussed the necessary  tools and equipment that I have used that makes painting in the field a fun and successful outing. I would like to focus on painting the winter /snow landscape, so hopefully Mother Nature will  start sharing a little white stuff.

Day 2
We will  be in the studio again and begin with a demo and discussion.  I will have a reference for the group and have the group all paint from that one painting. In the afternoon, you will each select your own reference material and paint and completing  that painting. So hopefully you will two small works completed that day.

Day 3
We will meet at the studio and depending on our group and the weather we can paint from reference material or venture out and paint on location.  I would love to take you up the mountain and do a snow painting on location. Near Silver Lake  or Silver Fork Lodge.

I keep my workshops to a maximum of 10 participants, which allows me to spend as much time individually with you all. However, because we will be in doors for the majority of the time and it will be relatively easy for me to get around to you all, I’m allowing a maximum of 12 for this workshop!

Cost will be $350
