Workshop Description
This workshop begins with a guided visit through Tracy Aviary’s Rainforest exhibit, where you’ll learn about pothos plants and the science behind plant propagation. From there, you’ll get your hands dirty by potting your own pothos plant to take home.
After we've learned all about plants, it's time to paint them! You’ll be introduced to gouache, aka the perfect mix of watercolors and acrylics. Together, we’ll create a guided pothos leaf study while learning foundational gouache techniques and how to mix perfect, rich greens.
Never worked with gouache before? No problem. This workshop is designed for beginners, and no prior painting experience is required. All materials will be provided.
