Workshop Description
Botanical art is part scientific illustration, part expression of wonder at the beauty and complexity of plants.
This 3.5 hour workshop covers everything you need to start creating your own botanical art in watercolor. The workshop begins with guided instruction covering tools, materials, basic drawing, close observation, color mixing, and watercolor technique. In the second half, you will paint your own study of a colorful leaf.
Artists of all skill levels are welcome, and all materials are provided. If you have your own watercolor supplies, feel free to bring your favorite brushes in sizes 2/0 and 3/0.
