Workshop Description
Join us for a relaxed and inspiring art session in the heart of Tracy Aviary. In this two-hour workshop, we'll slow down and observe the beauty of birds through both science and art. We'll start with a tour of the Aviary led by an Aviary ecologist to learn about some of the birds.
Then we'll dive into how to create quick field sketches that capture each bird's form and personality. Once you've captured your favorite bird, we'll bring it to life with watercolor.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just curious to try field sketching and painting, this workshop is all about connecting with nature and creative discovery. We'll guide you through basic techniques and fun prompts to help you tune into both your surroundings and your own style.
Bring your curiosity, and we'll provide the rest. All skill levels are welcome!
All workshop participants will also get full access to the Aviary for the rest of the day, to give you a chance to enjoy the rest of the beautiful space.
