Workshop Description
Join us at Tracy Aviary for a day of abstract painting alongside one of their greatest artists, DaVinci the Great Green Macaw.
At the beginning of the workshop, you'll meet DaVinci and watch him create his own abstract masterpiece. Learn about the macaw's diet, habitat, and behaviors, along with the threats this species faces.
Then it's time to create your own painting inspired by DaVinci's colors and style. Discover what happens when you paint with a bird's instincts, using playful prompts drawn from DaVinci's movements like pecking, gliding, scratching, and hopping. Along the way, you'll explore the fundamentals of abstract composition while creating a bold, expressive piece of your own.
All skill levels are welcome, and we'll provide all the supplies you need.
You'll also have full access to the Aviary after the workshop, so you can enjoy everything else this beautiful space has to offer..
